Leo was working on a lot of cross-departmental projects at his corporate role. He needed a system to help organize his schedule and tried every available app. He eventually landed on one that he liked, but it stopped working a year after! Needing a solution, he learned programming and built an app for himself! He called it Sorted.

Leo left his corporate job and met Harry while they were both teaching at General Assembly (GA). While at GA, various people saw Leo using Sorted and complimented him on the app usability and gestures. One day, Harry said to Leo that Sorted was the first task management app that he's continued to use for over 6 months!

Harry suggested publishing Sorted on the App Store—even though it wasn't very polished—just to see how others like it. To their surprise, they got a lot of emails and reviews of people saying they loved it and it was improving their lives. Harry and Leo decided to explore Sorted more seriously and went through a few iterations of the app in the next couple of months.

Sorted 2 was born, followed by a feature on the App Store. The positive feedback encouraged Harry and Leo to redesign the app to provide an ultimate user experience. The design process took around 3 months of nonstop work. It was followed by a full rebuild of the app, starting from scratch.
